FELA! The AfroBeats Pioneer.

When I First Heard That FELA! Was Coming To London I Was BEYOND Excited.
Because I Have A Lot Of African Friends Fela Kuti Was A Name That Came Up All The Time.
And To Make It Even Better The Play Was Produced By Jay-z, Will & Jada Smith.
I Though This Play Must Be A Hit Right?

So I Took It Upon Myself To Contact To Try And Get Press Tickets For The Radio Show I Do With Lynnike & Sefa On BANGFM. (http://www.facebook.com/lynnikeandsefa) - (http://www.facebook.com/bangradio)

Altough I Tried For Three For Me And The Two Hosts I Only Got One.
I Offered It To The Girls But Was Way Over The Moon When They Told Me To Go.

Whilst Finding My Seat In The Packed Out Theatre I Noticed The Stageing.
Whilst Trying To Take A Sneaky Picture But Being Brought To An Abrupt Holt By The Ushers I Thought The Scenery Was Impecible.
You Really Could Place Yourself In Felas Shrine And Let Your Imagination Run Completley Wild.

As The Show Began One Thing Became Clear . . This Show Was More Of A Interactive Experience Rather Than A Traditional Broadway Musical.
Theres Catwalks Coming From Almost Ever Angle, Even Right Across The Seats And The Dancers Work Them Like Anything, Always Bringing You In And Edging You to The Point When You Have To Move.
With Pictures That Move Like Harry Potter The Cast Sure Want To Take You Into A Magical World Of Fela Kuti and His 27 Wives.
Fela Was Played By Sahr Ngaujah Who Got The Leading Role In New York, America And He Brought More Than I Expected With Charismatic Charm. He Drew You In With His Witty-Ness.
After PLaying Nala In London Based "The Lion King" And Staring In Eastenders, Playing Felas Love Interest Sandra Is Singer And Actress Paulette Ivory.
Fela And Sandra's Chemistry On Stage Is Supberb And you Easliy Beleive There Love Story.

The Costumes Designed By Marina Draghici Are Easily A Real Inspiration For Any Aspiring Fashion Designer Bringing The Characters Alive Even More.

The Funky Flow Of Afro Beats That Plays Throughout The Show IS Impossible To Sit Down To So You Always Feel Like You Want To Dance.
Although I Never Got Up I Was ALWAYS Moving My Hips Along To Felas Original Music Style.

FELA! Is A MUST SEE Show For Anyone That Enjoys Culture, Music And A Good Time.

Musical Theatre 10/10 From Me. xx
